Olena presents us with a beautiful type from the excellent pairing of our Askan (Russian) and Teya (Ukranian), both of whom are now retired. She is the third dog we have kept for our kennel from that specific crossing. While Zelenski and Lucy are full siblings (on paper, not littermates) her look is a bit more refined and lean. This may be partially due to her smooth coat, as opposed to their rough coats. As it is, she still inherited the same good size, height and length that they did, with only that short hair of hers making her look so much different! Like her mother, Lena is a submissive girl who always wants to please you, and is as super sweet and kind as one could wish. She also is quite athletic and full of energy, which she invariably exhibits when she sees any of our other dogs playing without her. In another year or so, we expect she will fill out a bit more as she matures with age and motherhood.
